Fully automated cleanup, automatic upgrade, cloud backup and maintenance for activeCollab 3
acGarage Plus product is no longer available. The automatic upgrades are now available as a free module – “Apps Magnet Auto Updater”. Backup is now called Smart Backup and Housekeeping tasks is a separate module. Both backup and housekeeping are part of the Master Pack now and not sold individually.
acGarage Plus takes automated backups, automatically upgrades Apps Magnet modules, performs routine housekeeping tasks, gets avatar photos for users from Gravatar and checks for new versions of activeCollab for you. All fully automated, “set it and forget it” manner. It’s your swiss army knife to keep your activeCollab installation kicking.
Automatic Updates
Do you have the latest version of activeCollab? Latest versions of custom modules from Apps Magnet? acGarage Update keeps a check on that and notifies you.

Automatic Updates require that your PHP setup can unzip downloaded files and FTP to your own server.
Automated Housekeeping and Maintenance
A large system like activeCollab needs routine maintenance and cleanup. But why to spend your own time when you can automate it? Housekeeping services within acGarage Plus let you schedule the following activities to be carried out every week or every month. If you like, you can even run them all whenever you want at a click of a button.
This will not only save you time, but will also keep your system shiny clean!
- Empty Trash
- Complete projects without any activity in past 3 months
- Complete open sub items (tasks, subtasks etc) where parent item (milestone, task etc) is already completed
- Disable system access for users without any activity in past 3 months

Smart and Efficient Backups – local or in the cloud
Backups are important. activeCollab 3 does not include a backup system and assumes that you’d be taking backup with your webhost. Even if you do, the Smart Backup system included in acGarage Plus can provide immense value.
Here’s what it does.
- Performs Incremental Backup – saving you lots of disk space and CPU usage
- Can also perform Full Backups if you wish, even multiple backups
- Can backup to cloud – on Amazon AWS S3 or on the server itself
- Backs up all attachments, logos, configuration and the full database

Automatic User Avatar Retrieval
When you put a face to a name you establish a connection. Adding avatar images for users is a great way to humanize experience. But getting all those images and uploading them can be time consuming.
acGarage Plus automates this too – it retrieves avatar images for users from Gravatar.com (if they exist) and pushes them to activeCollab.
If a user changes her avatar, acGarage Plus won’t overwrite it. It’s smart, useful and just a great time saver.
